Meåfallet - Lugnåfallet, Revaberget

"The "sough" of the waterfall still echoed in the ears ...
and one could not hear aught else.”

Reva mountain (Revaberget) is located about 11 km south of Bispgården and 2.5 miles south of Held Rapids plant right along Indalsälven west side. In the reserve is a beautiful waterfall, Meåfallet, or as the locals call it Lugnåfallet. The waterfall has a drop height of 30 m and the spring water plunges steeply down and flows down towards the Indalsälven.
An interesting area with unique flora characterized by lime-loving species. Shaggy moss (Rhytidiadelphus triquetrus [Kranshakmossa]), dominates the bottom layer almost anywhere where soil moisture and other vegetation allows.
A variety of nature is here concentrated in a relatively small area and many of the endangered or otherwise rare species are found here with an unusually large number of species.
Examples of endangered species in the area are Vascular plants - Galium triflorum, Myricaria germanica, Poa remota, Viola selkirkii; Mosses - Anastrophyllum hellerianum; Lichens - Raman Line thrausta; Sponges - Antrodia mellita, Fomitopsis rosea, Haploporus odorus, Inonotus leporinus, Junghuhnia Collab, Phellinus nigrolimitatus, Phellinus populicola, Phlebia centrifuged, Sarcosoma globosum; and Birds - Buteo lagopus, Pernis apivorus, Strix nebulos.
